Claire has worked closely with the insurance industry including the Association of British Insurers on policy and regulatory issues including reforming the claims process, in particular in relation to the recent Jackson Reforms having assisted as an assessor to Lord Justice Jackson. Her work also included advising on possible challenges to Government proposed legislation and responding to consultations.
Claire is also experienced in handling test cases and major personal injury litigation in the appeal courts in particular litigation arising out of periodical payments and has been involved in advising insurers on proposed changes to the Discount Rate.
Claire started her career in commercial and property insurance litigation covering insurance policy coverage and recovery advice (with international elements), contract disputes including significant telecoms litigation.
