Complementing the broker
Mactavish is NOT a broker, nor does it seek to replace the role of a broker. On the contrary, Mactavish through its analytical role COMPLEMENTS the role of the broker, who will continue to provide advice as the paid advisor to the insurance buyer.
This remains equally true whether we are working with a Mactavish insurer partner in combination with the client’s existing broker, or as part of a combined service offering with a Mactavish broker partner.
David Frankland was the JLT Account Director for Yell when the current solution was developed. He commented:
“As an Insurance Broker dealing with large UK and multinational risks, we found that working with Mactavish meant we were able to add an extra dimension to our clients’ risk management and insurance programme. [Mactavish's] ability to translate financial data into meaningful information for Insurers assisted us in leveraging both price and cover.
Our clients found their involvement assisted them in focusing upon and analysing their Insurable and Uninsurable risks.”
Martin Lister was the Aon Account Director for the former Pilkington Group (now a part of NSG Group) when the current solution was developed. He commented:
“The broker’s role is to get the best terms available for the client. Without the Mactavish process it is difficult to see how this can be achieved.”
