Mactavish take pride in designing, executing and publishing first rate investigative research into key drivers and developments in the commercial insurance marketplace, a competence from which our other services have derived during the course of our business’s evolution.
Each study is unique in focus, but our broad aim is to generate rich and unparalleled understanding of both
- the drivers of policy and market conditions amongst the suppliers of insurance capital and services, and
- structured industrial analysis of key buyer sectors and the underlying factors shaping business risks and the ability of companies to manage, mitigate and transfer them.

Mactavish sectoral research programme 2009/2010 – Mactavish have undertaken throughout 2009 a large scale investigation into the severe emerging impacts of the recession on corporate risk. This in-depth study, based on extended consultation with over 250 large UK corporates in the most profoundly impacted sectors and key senior insurance policy setters, identifies and explains a number of critically material emerging risk areas and assesses the consequences for both companies and the insurers who finance them. Initial findings are available from early January 2010 (if interested please contact us) with follow-up analysis to continue through 2010.
