Mactavish

Rob graduated with a BA in Politics, Philosophy & Economics from Oxford University. Upon leaving Oxford he trained with The Kalchas Group, a leading independent strategy consultancy in London, founded by consultants from Bain and McKinsey.From there he moved to work as a strategy consultant with Booz-Allen & Hamilton on a range of international projects, prior to working with Mactavish since 2001.

Rob has been involved in developing all aspects of Mactavish’s business, especially the due diligence analysis on complex risks. He now heads up our research activities as well as discharging a wider development role across the business’s overall activity as Commercial Director.

Tom graduated from the University of Durham with a Law degree. He joined Mactavish in 2002 having worked for two years at independent capital markets advisory firm Makinson Cowell.

While at Mactavish Tom has worked as a senior consultant on a range of strategy and market advisory projects for large international insurers and broking houses. In addition, he has great experience of both leading deal execution for Mactavish’s UK business, and in leading due diligence investigations into all forms of risk attaching to large international corporates.

Tom’s role as execution manager sees him oversee all day to day research activity and the management of insurance partner relationships. Tom’s experience in due diligence spans a wide range of industries including chemicals, construction, engineering, manufacturing, food & beverage, logistics & transportation, media & publishing and IT & technology.

Patrick graduated from the ESSCA Business School in France, with a First Class Honours degree, including an exchange year in the MBA programme at McGill University (Canada). Following some auditing projects in banking, he then started his commercial career in import and export, before joining Arc International, world leader in tableware and domestic glassware, as National Account Manager. From there, he took responsibility of the UK premium products division and subsequently general management of the mass market product lines.

Patrick finally became Sales Director in a nutrition and supplements company, before joining Mactavish in 2007 to focus on both UK and French markets.

Patrick is a French national and speaks fluent English.

Antoine graduated from Reims Management School, and completed a further degree in International Business at Northeastern University, USA. After working with an international M&A advisory firm, Antoine joined Mactavish in 2005. He now leads our activity in the French market whilst maintaining involvement throughout all our research. He is a regular columnist in French risk and insurance publications.

Ben graduated with a BA in Philosophy from Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge University. He joined Mactavish in 2009 following several years working in the executive search industry. Ben is a Project Director and currently leads the Mactavish retail & logistics research.

Richard graduated from Oxford University with a degree in French and Russian. He spent a further two years at Oxford completing an MPhil in French and Russian literature, for which he received a Distinction. Richard is a Project Director and currently leads the Mactavish manufacturing and construction research.

Benoit holds an MBA from Cardiff Business School and an MSc in Management from Grenoble Ecole de Management in France. A member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, he has developed an expertise in Supply Chain management, Purchasing and International Business. Before joining the Mactavish team, he worked in France in international business development within the orthopedic and neurosurgery industry and also has a experience of strategy consulting in the UK with PA Consulting. Benoit is a French national and speaks fluent English and Spanish.
